Before and After...
So, I don't have good pictures of our yard before Spring, but you can all picture the barrenness of winter. Praise GOD for the newness of life that HE brings and how HE shows it in seasons....
Chris has done a fantastic job with our yard - I LOVE that I have roses and all sorts of other flowers to walk past each day...
A before picture that I do have...is of my hair. I'm donating it to Wigs For Kids. This is what it looked liked before it was chopped off....
And this is what it looks like now!!
The lady who cut it did a great job and she used a straightening iron and made it look cute.
I, on the other hand, don't own a straightening iron, don't even own a blow-dryer. So...this is the best I could do:
I may or may not invest in the straightening iron - I usually hate messing with my hair, but with it being short it wouldn't be too much work :) I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've donated it. Last time was really hard because I was afraid I wouldn't let it grow back. But...I did, so I wasn't as worried this time - it was fun :)
Chris is leading a big group of out-of-town motorcycle riders on a day-long ride in the mountains tomorrow. Since I'm not going on the ride there probably won't be pictures, but I'll try to get a good shot of the parking lots of bikes we'll have in front of our house at the end of the day :)
Happy Friday!!

Hi Kate,
You look terrific! what a generous thing to do. Some little girl will inherit a lovely head of hair, thanks to you. 'Locks of Love' is a great organization.
The flowers are beautiful too!!Spring has definitely sprung in Tennessee.
Thanks for the update!
Love,
Mom
You look like sweet sixteen going on seventeen. Lucky kid who gets your locks.
Chris does a great job with the flowers...fill some vases.
I'll take a picture of my dogwood when it blooms.

and the flowers---ah! that's my favorite part of this time of the year! :)

How HOT are you!!!We miss you terribly!!! Love the CUT!!!
I love the pictures of all the flowers!!! It makes me want to look at them over and over, and imagine where they are located in your yard. I can tell a lot of work went into planting and keeping the flower beds beautiful!
Also, your hair cut is adorable!
KATE! Love the hair! Wow, I can't believe how long it was, and you have gorgeous waves. The new cute is great, you pull it off beautifully :)And three cheers to low maintenance hair!
I love it!!! Selfishly, I wish you could donate some of your hair to ME. LOL.
Kate,
You have beautiful hair - both before and after. You pull off the no-maintenance look with your cute face. I sympathize with your low maintenance philosophy. I recently chopped my hair off and do NOT like high maintenance hair either. A couple tips for uber-short hair:
1) little octo-clippies work wonders. One on each side or one holding a middle section back or 1 holding a thick strand pulled over middle and off to one side.
2) Skip blow drying. It just frizzes and takes more time. If I wash my hair the night before, with just a little smoothing serum I use a 1" curling iron to straighten/shape up my hair. Takes maybe 10 minutes. (I have thick and wavy hair, too)
Anyhoo - sorry for the long blog comment post! :)
